3 MOST STYLISH KOENIGSEGG HYPERCARS
Koenigsegg Automotive AB is a car manufacturing company founded in 1994 by Christian von Koenigsegg. The Swedish automaker spent years undertaking research before unveiling its first supercar, the CC8S, in 2002. Koenigsegg has since built a reputation for building some of the best performing hypercars. The following are three such productions that will go in the anals of history whenever hypercars are mentioned.
2002 Koenigsegg CC8S
The CC8S is the pioneer of all Koenigsegg cars and was a product of eight years of research and testing. The CC8S was one of a kind as only six of these cars were produced. Koenigsegg borrowed tips from the modular Ford V8 engine to produce the engine that would power this car. A lot of research and testing went into ensuring that the CC8S would produce the 655hp without compromising on safety reliability and carbon emission laws. Koenigsegg combined this with a clean minimalist exterior to produce one of the most stunning hypercars in the world.
Launched in 2011, the Koenigsegg Agera was named after the swedish word “To Act”. The Agera was a replacement of the highly exceptional CCX and the CCXR models.Koenigsegg improved these models by incorporating a revamped interior in this model. This included the ghost lighting system, the use of technology to create a clean interior and light carbon fibre exterior to complete the look. The Agera was powered by a 5.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
Koenigsegg The One:1
The Koenigsegg One:1 is a unique hypercar that was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014. The One:1 derives its name from its astonishing 1:1 ratio between its kg to hp curb weight. This feature is not the only first that Koenigsegg has achieved through the One:1. The One:1 was also the first homologated vehicle with 1 Megawatt of power. The Koenigsegg One:1 borrows its engine from the Koenigsegg Agera.
