TOP 3 BUGATTIS IN THE WORLD

Founded by the italian-born Ettore Bugatti in 1909, Bugatti is originally a French automaker that is famous for the best supercars in the world. Bugatti gained fame in the automotive industry mainly because of its race cars which bagged several victories. In particular, the Type 35 Grand Prix cars, Type 55 sports car, Type 41 Royalle and the Type 57 Atlantic were all big names in their heyday. Following the passing of Bugatti and later on his son, the company struggled financially. However, Bugatti survived to manufacture some of the best supercars that the world has ever seen. Today, Bugatti is owned by the German automaker, Volkswagen Group. The following are top 3 Bugattis in the world.

BUGATTI CHIRON

The Bugatti Chiron was first unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Based on the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept car, this mid-engined two-seater sports car replaced the Bugatti Veyron. Like its predecessor, it also derived its name from a race car driver, Louis Chiron. Despite its sophisticated head turning style, the heart and soul of the Chiron is in its engine which is the 8L W16 with four turbochargers. The new Chiron has a groundbreaking two-stage turbocharging system that delivers 1,500 hp. This power is controlled by special carbon ceramic brake discs and brake callipers that are combined with 8 titanium pistons for the best performance. Dubbed the best Bugatti ever, the Chiron combines spectacular beauty and aerodynamics to enhance efficiency.

BUGATTI VEYRON

The Bugatti Veyron is a stunning mid-engined sports car that was named after the track race driver, Pierre Veyron and made a stormy entrance into the automotive world in 2005. It was designed by Jozef Kaban of the Volkswagen Group but produced by Bugatti at the Molsheim Plant in France. The Veyron’s showstopper was its 8L engine with its four turbochargers that delivered a whopping 1001 hp and a top speed of 253 mph. It therefore comes as no surprise that the 2005 Bugatti Veyron model was Top Gear’s Car of the Decade (2000-2009).

GRAND SPORT VITESSE

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse is not just the fastest car in the world but also the most expensive convertible. Just like the Super Sport model of the Veyron, the Grand Sport Vitesse is powered by the quad-turbocharged 8.0L W16 engine. The top speed of this machine without a hard top is lowered down to just 229 mph from 253 mph with the roof up. As it lacks a standard roof, the Grand Sport Vitesse comes with adjusted windshields and running lights with two removable tops. Since the production of the first Grand Sport Veyron in 2009, Bugatti has released one other version. This was the brightly colored Grand Sport version that was debuted during the 2012 Qatar Motor Show and featured a black and yellow theme inside and outside.
